I started making cakes when I had my children, I remember looking back on my childhood and even with 4 children my mum always made our birthday cakes. I wanted to do the same for my children and have gone on to make all of their birthday cakes but with an increasing amount of sophistication so both they and I can take great pride and pleasure in them. I love helping fellow lovers of great cake who delight in delicious cake and want to have the option to choose the flavour and aesthetic rather than have to settle for something off the shelf.

Once I’d started baking regularly my love for making cakes grew, creating something beautiful, something that demands attention when it enters the room, something that packs a punch of flavour when you finally get to eat it. I've always been a dessert lover with a major sugar addiction, so ‘having’ to taste test everything that comes out of my kitchen is a real pleasure and I'm often found snacking on cake top trimmings. So I can guarantee it won’t just look good, but it will have the flavour to back it up.
